For the recovery system, there is need to continually check the pH level and adjust it UP or DOWN frequently as necessary.
- Ebb and Flow: This thrives on temporary flooding of the grow tray to pass the nutrient-filled water through the plant roots and drained again through the draining outlet. This is automated to keep to the timed- sequence of flooding and draining to keep the plant root sustained with quality nutrients.
- Aeroponic system: This method uses air as the growing medium where the nutrient-rich solution is misted through the air and collected by the plant roots. The misting process continues intermittently to prevent the plant root drying out when there is no mist. For this reason, the Aeroponic method uses a nutrient pump with a short timer cycle to pump the mist a few seconds per minute.
- NFT system: This is an acronym for Nutrient Film Technique which passes the Growth Technology nutrient solution to growing tray using pumping aid. The plant draws up nutrients from the nutrient-rich solution passing through the tray. The unused nutrient and water flowed back to the reservoir and recycled again. There is need to ensure currency of flow in this system to prevent plant drying out.
